General Notes Regarding Regional Managers (adapted from CAI POL-06)
Regional managers are authorized to do the following:
o Approve proposals meeting the limitations set forth in per CAI PR-01.
o Make commitments to clients within their region regarding the capability of the company to perform work with due consideration for personnel availability and the nature of the work.
o Discuss the rough cost of such services but may not commit the company to performing a specific project for a specific fee without first generating a proposal for review by an authorized company officer or business area leader.
Regional managers must consult with a company officer or business area leader before communicating a rate schedule to new clients. Commitments that require personnel support outside of the region must be discussed with the Continental VP and the regional manager(s) involved.
Role of Regional Managers (adapted from CAI POL-06)
· Execute billable work depending on the size of the region with most of these hours directed toward strategic work which leads to additional agents being assigned or new services executed to add new clients
· Ensure coverage for all employees which reside in their region
· Ensure intercompany transfer procedures are followed when utilizing agents out of region
· Allocate resources between customer sites within their regions based on provision of value to the client and aligning with the agent’s personal needs
· Provide sufficiently trained and qualified personnel to deliver awarded and anticipated services based on regional service mix and specific client needs
· Develop and execute a regional annual business plan, to include trade shows and other marketing events within their region
· Support client managers when closing major sales
· Approve professional society participation in support of regional marketing campaigns
· Coordinate with Continental VP to assign Client Managers and Project Managers for significant projects in their region.
· Ensure that each regional project is being reviewed on a monthly basis by one of these three functions (Operations Support Group, Safety, RM, CM)
· Provide input to and review individual professional development plans within their region

Requirements of Regional Managers
· It is expected that candidates will have greater than 5 years of industry experience in manufacturing, consulting, services, and leadership assignments
· It is preferred that candidates have a strong technical education, preferably with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

Other Requirements:
Excellent oral and written communication skills in English/Fluent in English
Able to travel domestically and internationally as required
