As the Environmental Monitoring Technician Microbiology you will be responsible in performing tests for monitoring environmental conditions throughout the facility and maintains all documentation for traceability.

Responsibilities:
Performs environmental sampling of the manufacturing areas, which includes collecting air, surface & water and gas samples in support of facility environmental procedures & in accordance with cGMP & corporate policies.
Support production operations by performing environmental monitoring of batching processes.
Maintain grade A, B, C & D production areas by performing routine environmental monitoring, water and gas sampling at established frequencies.
Use LIMS software to create labels, collect & submit QC samples to the labs.
Operate air samplers to perform viable & non-viable air monitoring.
Operate production equipment as needed to sample water and gas utilities.
Basic laboratory tasks as well as other responsibilities, as assigned.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required. AAS degree in related field and or Biotechnology desired.
Minimum 1 year experience in manufacturing or healthcare industry, FDA regulatory preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Occasionally move equipment and/or supplies weighing up to 50 pounds within the facility.
Ability to work in & near operating equipment both large and small.
Ability to attain clean room gowning certification & work with hazardous materials, including disinfectants and sanitizers.
Frequent standing, bending, stooping & prolonged working overhead. Occasionally ascends/descends a mezzanine staircase to take samples.
Able to do close precision work with hands to perform sampling tasks. May be required to work overtime, including weekends.

Our Compensation and Benefits
At Ferring, base salary is one part of our competitive total compensation and benefits package and is determined using a salary range. The base salary range for this role is $50,000 to $65,000, which is the reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount paid may differ based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, education and primary work location.
Additional compensation for this role will be provided based on competitive annual incentive compensation targets in the form of an annual bonus - payouts are based on individual and company performance
