What you will be doing

The primary duties and responsibilities will be defined as needed by the functional area where the incumbent is located.

Marketing and Content Creator Intern Overview:

  • We’re seeking a creative, highly skilled, and well-organized creative digital marketing and communications professional to create content that supports our veterinary software platform for existing customers and future enhancements.

  • This individual will work closely with the AllyDVM marketing and strategic partnerships team, while cross-collaborating with other divisions within AllyDVM, MWI Animal Health and/or veterinary brand marketing teams across the industry, with a goal of designing and developing engaging, informative, and innovative content for our various business strategies.

  • They should have a strong understanding of the current digital/social media landscape, be a strategic thinker, goal-oriented, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.

  • The successful candidate will have a proven track record of developing top-notch creative content with measurable results. Proven track record of working on and delivering major media/digital communications campaigns with reputational, brand, and business goals

  • Proven history of successfully managing complex, fast-moving, and unexpected communication challenges in a team environment and is able to deal with ambiguity

  • Knowledge of the veterinary industry is a perk.

  • They will enjoy the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere within the U.S.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Developing quality content that aligns with our AllyDVM content marketing strategy, in line with veterinary reputational, brand, and business goals.

  • Contributing to campaign execution across internal teams within AllyDVM ensuring cross-pollination of created content across campaigns, digital properties, and projects/programs.

  • Keeping on top of the latest trends and developments across all media platforms, making sure content developed for each is tailored to the specific audiences and particularities of the veterinary channel.

  • Leveraging knowledge of best practices in social content to develop good, creative ideas both proactively and reactively.

  • Measurement and Evaluation: Through an understanding of the link between content quality and performance, driving continual improvement of social content backed by analytics on social listening, monitoring, measurement of ROI and evaluation.

  • Designs and develops new templates and strategic content for communications based on core veterinary communications plans, communications strategies, and key pet owner strategies.

  • Taking pride in storytelling and creating engaging, fresh content that is relevant, interesting, and entertaining to our veterinary customers and pet owners.

  • Prioritizes projects through alignment with stakeholders that develop roadmap strategies.

  • Manages and analyzes our existing communication inventory to identify and execute upon improvement opportunities.

  • Develops AllyDVM communication standards & guidelines, maintaining updates and facilitating communication around SOP for AllyDVM moving forward based on developed work.

  • Tracks metrics and monitors results and makes changes as a result of metrics and insights.

What your background should look like

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Studying for or have acquired a BS/BA in Communications, Web Design, Marketing, or a related area

  • Proficient in using Web Content Management Systems such as WordPress, Drupal, Adobe Experience Manager, or similar

  • Proficient in Photoshop/InDesign

  • HTML/CSS coding experience/working knowledge (to help build more creative robust communication creative templates)

  • Experience in selecting and editing images to support page content

  • Experience with workflow and project management software

  • Experience in an agile environment and documenting work in a JIRA, Monday, Asana, Trello, Pivotal Tracker, or similar

Desired Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of SEO best practices

  • Website design

  • Proficient with features of Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat, YouTube and emerging social platforms

  • Can work from a mockup with minimal direction/hand holding

  • Experience in managing content, suggesting the flow of content, and working with stakeholders to keep content updated
