Oncoustics is a start-up that uses AI on ultrasound data to help find disease. We are looking to hire a student for an 8 month Co-Op term. Eligible applicants should be in their second year or beyond in a computer engineering or medical based field, and have some programming experience. Specifics of the opportunity include:

Responsibility

- Learn the basics and help in the construction of ML models for classification and object detection \n
- Assisting in and learning the tools to feature engineering and signal processing to improve data quality \n
- Research and keep up to date with state of the art methods in signal processing and ML \n
- Collaborate with other team members for most efficient development
\n \n
Requirements
\n- \n
- Must be actively enrolled in an accredited Canadian University or College during the co-op placement. \n
- Experience in coding, ideally Python and MATLAB \n
- Completed at least the second year, and currently enrolled in a accredited Canadian undergrad in Engineering, Comp Sci, Physics, Math, etc \n
Good To Have

- Industry experience in signal processing and/or ML \n
- Prior experience in the biomedical field
\n \n - Experience with ultrasound imaging and processing
\n \n - Experience with pytorch, sklearn, numpy, and scipy
