With offices in Toronto and Los Angeles, Acorn is a next-generation personalized regenerative medicine company with services offered at partner clinics across Canada and the US. Acorn has developed the world’s first non-invasive, follicle-based cell cryopreservation service, launched in 2022, and has patented cell-based treatments made from a patient’s follicle cells in Aesthetics and Sports Medicine.

Acorn’s first cell-derived treatment is an autologous growth factor and exosome product developed from an individual's collected cells with applications in skin and hair rejuvenation, wound healing, and orthopedics. Data on concentrations of exosomes and growth factors and ex vivo performance far exceeded what is currently available.

Acorn is also actively involved in scientific research with top healthcare and education institutions in North America, including the National Research Council, the University of Toronto, Mount Sinai Hospital, and the University of Calgary, to further the potential of cells in the follicle across many areas of general health.

The Role

We are seeking a marketing leader with experience launching products in aesthetics to join our commercial team and lead all aspects of professional, patient and consumer marketing for the brand.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the cross functional team to launch Acorn’s first topical product for skin and hair.
  • Develop and execute marketing plans that drive value for our customers and brand, including loyalty programs and collaborative marketing strategies.
  • Lead the creation of digital and print materials to increase brand awareness at all touchpoints (e.g., social media, email, point-of-sale materials, videos, brochures).
  • Create sales programs and tools to drive customer engagement, acquisition, conversion and retention.
  • Implement patient and consumer marketing programs that drive conversion and retention.
  • Lead Acorn social strategy and community management efforts.
  • Identify customer needs, industry trends, and opportunities to drive value for Acorn and its portfolio of products in the aesthetics market.
  • Lead competitive insights, advisory boards, congress strategy and execution.
  • Report on KPIs and campaign effectiveness to guide future strategies.
  • Manage budgeting and invoicing for all marketing initiatives.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

  • 10+ years of marketing experience.
  • At least 5 years in aesthetics/skin care with a track record of success.
  • US experience required / Canadian experience a plus.
  • Experience launching new products in aesthetics.
  • Start-up experience is highly desirable.
  • Ability to make an impact regardless of budget.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30%.
  • A commitment to leading with humility, curiosity and transparency, with a willingness to roll up your sleeves and dig into the work!
