Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain daily cell cultures for Acorn Topical Product creation using aseptic techniques in ISO-7 cleanroom suites.
- Aseptically manufacture, filter, and fill Acorn Products in compliance with cleanroom and quality standards.
- Assist in quality control procedures, including vial inspection, crimping, sealing, and lyophilization of topical products.
- Aid in the labeling and packaging of final products.
- Perform routine data entry in batch records, forms, and logs to ensure proper documentation.
- Manage supply inventory for topical product creation, ensuring necessary materials are stocked.
- Perform equipment maintenance, calibration, and validation as needed.
- Coordinate logistical aspects of laboratory operations, including FedEx pickups, preparing shipments, and tracking deliveries.
- Identify and report any deviations to the immediate supervisor, ensuring proper documentation of deviation records.
- Contribute to quality control improvements by assisting in SOP development and maintaining thorough documentation.
- Dispose of biohazardous waste, maintain general laboratory cleanliness, and manage reusable instrument recycling.
- Weekend shifts required.
Key Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Biology, Biotechnology, Biomedical Sciences, or a related field (or equivalent laboratory experience) or equivalent certification (i.e. medical technologists)
Experience Level
- Entry-Level: 0–2 years of experience in a laboratory, cleanroom, or biomanufacturing setting.
- Mid-Level: 2–5 years of hands-on experience in cell culture, aseptic techniques, and bioprocessing (preferred).
Technical Skills:
- Experience working in ISO-7 cleanrooms and following SOPs & Good Laboratory Practice (GLP).
- Familiarity with aseptic techniques, cell culture maintenance, filtration, and lyophilization.
- Basic knowledge of quality control, inventory management, and equipment maintenance.
Preferred but Not Required
- Experience in biopharmaceutical, regenerative medicine, or cosmetic product manufacturing.
- Understanding of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).
- Experience in a startup environment is a plus.
