Responsibilities:

Establish, oversee, and continuously improve the company import and export process flows in conformance with applicable rules, procedures, and company policy. Export/Import Manager will lead internal export controls to ensure compliance to the U.S. Departments of State and Commerce regulations as well as other government agencies’ regulations as applicable. Seamless importation of all US related products into the US in a fast-paced environment and in a timely manner. Lead manufacturing site logistics requirements in terms of shipping lane assessment, shipping lead-times, and strategy on preferred mode of transportation depending on product and business requirements.

  • Maintain import compliance and record-keeping programs according to CBP regulations and other government agencies.

  • Monitor import procedures from origin to customs clearance and delivery.

  • Schedule all Incoming Imports

  • Audit and maintain pre-entry and post entry documents.

  • Manage classification database and classifies new products.

  • Manage all Export aspects from Ferring US to customers

  • Facilitate product qualification under various Free Trade Agreements

  • Ensure relevant shipment milestones are exchanged and data is used to drive decisions

  • Partner with multiple site compliance teams, applicable departments, external brokers, and agents to resolve internal compliance issues

  • Through knowledge of C-TPAT and ISA application and procedures – maintain compliance and ensure certifications are kept on an annual basis.

  • Manage requisitions for all logistics vendors (In Coupa)

  • GVA tracking through transportation portals

  • Update and maintain Trade compliance SharePoint

  • Manage transportation requirements for current and new products.

  • Lead qualification of new transportation companies / and or shipping lanes

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience.

  • Pharmaceutical experience is required.

  • Customs Broker License is a plus.

  • Classification certification is a plus

  • Solid understanding of Import Compliance rules and regulation, including, but not limited to the U.S. Customs and Border Protection Regulations as well as C-TPAT.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • A strong attention to detail.

  • Ability to provide cross functional support.

  • Excellent time management skills.

  • Proficiency in MS Office applications and ERP applications

  • Ability to interact effectively at high levels, between business segments and suppliers, and manage and resolve issues, and provide effective feedback.

  • Must be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high-quality results.
