Attracts, retains, and develops key account managers using sound human resource management practices and programs to acquire and retain top talent by creating a high-performance culture.
Develop and lead the sales team in the execution of sales/marketing strategies within assigned area/country to achieve sales goals
Manages, trains, and develops direct reports; plans and conducts regular Business Meetings to drive business goals, builds promotional messages and enhance team performance and culture.
Manages national finances through the development and provision of a yearly operating budget, monthly monitoring, and financial reporting mechanisms, to support and reconcile budgetary responsibilities and spending for the Marketing Team and BUD.
Achieves monthly, quarterly, and annual objectives for the area and each member of his/her team and the implementation of the Plan of Action (POA)
Evaluate and correct the performance of Key Account Managers and the team, based upon the set objectives through active coaching and training on the job
Prepare annual performance achievement plans for each team member that includes annual goals and measurements that are consistent with the priorities of the business
Analyze sales results by products and territories and the factors influencing the results; providing input and guidance to the Integrated Brand Team (Marketing, Medical, National Business Manager, Commercial, Regulatory & Access) on business insights gained from interaction with key accounts/customers and influence strategies based on solid observation and business conversations with key stakeholders
Develop and maintain strategic relationships with Key Opinion Leaders and influencing professionals to support Ferring products
Develop and maintain effective internal and external partner relationships through positive and collaborative interactions, to drive common business priorities and achieve successful outcomes.
Analyze sales results of each team member monthly to ensure adherence to overall objectives and develop plan of action.
Monitor and reinforce the use of OCE (sales force automation system and customer information database)
Participate in the development of the country plan (Brand Plan) and marketing strategies
Accountable for maintaining (self and direct reports) a thorough understanding and adherence to all applicable codes, policies, and regulations (i.e., Ferring code of conduct, etc.). Upholds a commitment to compliance and operates with integrity within all business activities. Upholds a commitment to compliance by exercising proper supervision and oversight to ensure due diligence within one’s team.
REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE / SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE (minimum requirements for the job) – includes equivalents:
EDUCATION
University Degree in Pharmacy or a related major
CCPE accreditation preferred.
EXPERIENCE
7 years of experience in pharmaceutical sales
1-2 years of cross-functional experience (marketing, training, market access)
Previous experience leading people and teams within an agile environment is strongly preferred.
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
Key account management experience required.
Ability to deal with ambiguity effectively.
Ability to think strategically with strong implementation.
Strong analytical, quantitative, influencing/negotiating, and problem-solving skills.
Strong collaborator with the ability to work well independently as well as in a team environment.
Demonstrated ability in networking at all levels with both internal and external customers.
Self-directed and driven to accomplish goals and meet deadlines.
Effective time management/organization skills and ability to prioritize workload.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong presentation skills
Strong receptiveness to coaching and feedback.
Ability to travel (up to 25%)
Ability to communicate in French is an asset.
