As the Senior Specialist, MTS you will demonstrate accountability for functional, technical, business, and broad company objectives. This position will be responsible for execution of projects tasks to support drug product technology transfer, continuous improvement, and regulatory compliance for the US Production site (Ferring Production, Inc.).

Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for functional and technical objectives to support a fill/finish cell and gene therapy technology transfer.

  • Author and review technical documents including, but not limited to technology transfer studies, FMEA, PPQ, CPV, regulatory submissions, and associated reports.

  • Support selected technology transfer projects for the site (primarily for sterile fill/finish of cell and gene therapy drug products).

  • Execute proper design of experiment (DOE), process development, and process validation to ensure robustness and quality of drug products.

  • Contribute to the authoring of common technical documents for Chemistry, Manufacturing and Controls and associated modules.

  • Initiate, track and resolve Production/Packaging related non-conformance investigations. Assist area management in the investigation of the root causes, recommend corrective action(s).

  • Support the continuous improvement initiatives through the Lean Six Sigma (LSS) program at Ferring US.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering

  • At least 3+ years experience, within pharmaceutical industry and/or sterile manufacturing. Preferred experience within MTS/MSAT functions.

  • Knowledge of cGMP for FDA (21 CFR 200s, 210s, 600s) and EMEA (Annex 1)

  • Knowledge of CAR-T, cell therapy, gene therapy, and/or single use technologies preferred.

  • Relevant experience includes: pharmaceutical manufacturing support, process engineering, technology transfer of drug substance or drug product, and process qualification and validation.

  • Demonstration of practical Lean/Six Sigma/QbD application and implementation;

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence and work across organizational boundaries.

Our Compensation and Benefits

At Ferring, base salary is one part of our competitive total compensation and benefits package and is determined using a salary range. The base salary range for this role is $46,265 to $110,500, which is the reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount paid may differ based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, education and primary work location. Additional compensation for this role will be provided based on competitive annual incentive compensation targets in the form of an annual bonus - payouts are based on individual and company performance.
