As Supervisor, Aseptic Production, you will be responsible to manufacture and deliver product meeting internal and external customer expectations.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise daily manufacturing activities, assign and distribute work, problem solve, coordinate emergency situations. Participate in shift change reports with the outgoing and incoming shifts and supervisors.
  • First line of contact to handle process and equipment deviations on the floor as subject matter expert.
  • Assist Production Operators, as needed, with prep work, process components and filters, verify data and material movement.
  • Coach and develop direct reports; assess goals and provide guidance to achieve success. Create a culture of safety, and continuous process improvement.
  • Assist in the development of SOPs and skills training materials to ensure compliance with all company SOPs, policies, cGMPs and applicable safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Partner with operational groups (QC, QA, facilities, Supply Chain, Warehouse, Packaging) to ensure schedule adherence.
  • Support timely completion of deviations, investigations, change controls, and corrective/preventive actions.
  • Ensure Time cards of all direct reports are accurate and completed in a timely manner.
  • Participate in Gemba walks.

Requirements:

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Scientific discipline; additional certifications in aseptic techniques, cGMP, or leadership preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical GMP manufacturing; Aseptic fill/finish experience.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a supervisor role. An equivalent combination of education and directly relevant aseptic pharmaceutical leadership experience may be considered.
  • Profound knowledge of aseptic techniques, cleanroom protocols, cGMP, and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience with GMPs, FDA, and other regulated agency environment.
  • Ability to make real-time decisions on safety, process, scheduling, and HR related issues.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage resources in a production environment.
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends, or change shift schedule, per business needs.

Physical Requirements:

  • Extended periods of standing, walking, and overseeing production activities.
  • Lift, bend, and reach to monitor equipment, processes, and interactions.
  • Work in a cleanroom environment with moving mechanical parts and variable noise levels.
  • Work with biohazard materials and chemical solutions including bleach and Spor-Klenz®.
  • Wear mandatory personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety shoes, gowns, gloves, masks, goggles/glasses, and respiratory protection as required.
  • Able to remain in a stationary position for 50% of the time.
  • Able to detect and distinguish primary colors (red, yellow, and blue) and secondary colors (green, orange, and purple) as they appear on process equipment digital displays and computer screens.
  • Communicate verbally to exchange information and give and receive instructions.
  • Ability to set-up, operate, clean and maintain process equipment and handle materials.
  • Ability to handle portable equipment weighing up to 50 lbs. and lift up to 50 lbs.

Our Compensation and Benefits

At Ferring, base salary is one part of our competitive total compensation and benefits package and is determined using a salary range. The base salary range for this role is $61,750 to $143,000, which is the reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount paid may differ based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, education and primary work locationAdditional compensation for this role will be provided based on competitive annual incentive compensation targets in the form of an annual bonus - payouts are based on individual and company performance.

Benefits for this role include: comprehensive healthcare (medical, dental, and vision) with a premium differential, inverse to base salary, to be paid by employees; a 401k plan and company match; short and long-term disability coverage; basic life insurance; wellness benefits; reimbursement for certain tuition expenses; sick time frontloaded yearly of 40 hours, or higher if state or local law requires; vacation time for full time employees to accrue between 112.5 and 150 hours yearly in the first four (4) years of employment, and additional accruals starting in the fifth (5th) year of employment; and 12 to 13 paid holidays per year. For roles that are not field-based, Ferring has a policy that allows employees to work up to two days from home and three at a Ferring site, weekly.
