Ferring+You
You will report directly to the Head of Market Access and Pricing, and will be responsible for end-to-end access strategy and execution leadership, from early stage through to launch, reimbursement and life cycle management.
This role leads by strategizing and executing collaborative Market Access initiatives via engaging cross-functional stakeholders (Marketing, Medical, Regulatory, etc.), external partners, public and private payers, patient advocacy groups, government, and related agencies, to ensure access to Ferring medicines, optimal reimbursement, and valued health outcomes.
You’ll work in a hybrid methodology, working from our office in Toronto 3 days a week.
Your day at Ferring
Development and delivery of market access and pricing strategies, including pre-launch planning, portfolio assessment, environment preparation and CDA, INESSS, Provincial and Private Payer submissions, through to formulary listing.
Provide access assessment, critical appraisal, evidence gap identification, and external engagement to build reimbursement strategies throughout the product lifecycle.
Lead all aspects of cross function development and execution of access strategies and tactics to optimize public and private reimbursement (time to listing, breadth of coverage). Integrate multiple components such as pricing, real world evidence generation, health technology assessment, budget impact analyses, stakeholder engagement, negotiations, policy etc.
Lead all aspects of cross function development of reimbursement / MA dossiers and deliver best in class submissions to national HTA, provincial and private formularies. These submissions will clearly demonstrate value, through evidence generation, interpretation and communication of our products to Canadian payers.
Create and maintain strong partnerships with key external stakeholders (Patient Groups, Physicians, Payers, Provincial and Federal government etc.) to leverage insights and advocacy towards Market Access and Pricing strategies. Ensure initiatives and tools are relevant and support the needs of patients, health care providers and payers.Maintain a strong understanding and intelligence of the Health Policy, HTA and payer environment, and its dynamics, and proactively share and act on implications of any trends or changes.
Represent Market Access and Pricing as member of the Brand Team by acting as a role model for cross-functional working to ensure business objectives are met; and be an enterprise problem solver who can articulate the Payer/ Market Access perspective and understand the brand objectives so that effective solutions are built.Influence and develop pricing and negotiation strategies that are compliant with PMPRB and optimize reimbursement of Ferring products, leveraging internal and external insights.
Lead and/or participate in local, national, and global-cross functional teams to address and support market access needs within the business.
Responsible for leading brand-specific access budget.

Proven ability to understand business strategy and to translate it into market access strategies that support the company’s business goals.
Proven track record and success in developing and executing market access and pricing strategies for oncology launch products.
Expertise in local Market Access-related requirements, and processes, including negotiations with regulatory authorities – CDA / INESSS, Health Canada, pCPA, provincial and federal governments, etc.
Strong understanding of healthcare systems, payer dynamics, and reimbursement processes in key markets, including knowledge of health economics, health technology assessment (HTA), and value-based pricing.
Demonstrated experience of formulating clear and compelling value propositions and demonstrated success navigating the pricing and reimbursement environment in Canada.
Comprehensive awareness of private payer policies, processes, and procedures for listing of drug benefit.
Deep knowledge of government statutes, regulations, processes, and procedures regarding provincial formulary listings.
Experience working with external partners (e.g., clinicians, patient groups) to define and deliver optimized access results
Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage competing priorities and deadlines.
Understanding of Market Access function and impact on Marketing and Sales strategies.
