Ferring+You

The Business Intelligence function is accountable for delivering on 3 pillars of business intelligence. 1) Forecasting, 2) Commercial Analytics, and 3) Sales and Data Reporting. These deliverables will support the independent strategic insights and recommendations for Ferring’s portfolio in the Canadian market.

The purpose of this role is to support the collection, analysis, and interpretation of business data to inform decision-making and strategy. You will work BI tools, databases, and reporting systems to gather data from various sources, transform it into meaningful insights, and present findings to stakeholders. The role is essential in helping organizations make data-driven decisions, optimize operations, identify trends, and improve business performance.

You’ll work in a hybrid methodology, working from our office in Toronto 3 days a week.

Your day at Ferring

Forecasting

  • Accountable to rigorously oversee the enterprise assumptions collected for launch brands and ensure integrity of assumptions across forecasting deliverables.

  • Accountable for building Patient (EPI), TRx and NBRx forecast models using primary and secondary data sources.

  • Accountable for high quality, accurate and timely completion of forecasting deliverables across various forecast cycles for existing portfolio e.g.

o Annual Long Range and Strategic Plan Forecasts

o Monthly Latest Estimates

o Monthly Demand Forecast by SKU

o Quarterly Update Forecast

Commercial Analytics & Insights

  • Responsible for the timely delivery of comprehensive, accurate, high quality commercial analytics to identify opportunities and provide the foundational support of business decisions and performance monitoring

  • Understands forecast key sales drivers, risks and opportunities. Keep abreast of pharmaceutical industry, therapeutic area, and internal developments, which could impact on forecast drivers.

  • Lead the generation of ad-hoc commercial analysis requests including, but not limited to:

o Opportunity and risk assessments

o Competitive intelligence

o Insights Generation from existing or new dataset

Sales & Data Reporting

  • Proactively monitor, assess needs, and manage the development of existing, and new, standard reports to support business priorities.

  • Ensure accurate and consistent data alignment within the CRM by overseeing data entry processes, implementing data validation rules, and performing regular data audits to maintain data integrity across all customer records.

  • Provide commercial training on reporting tools, equipping teams with the skills to effectively analyze and interpret data, generate actionable insights, and create customized reports to drive business decisions.

  • Support the development of sales force incentive proposals and drive their operationalization by collaborating with cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment with business goals, and implementing processes to track and measure performance.

Behind our innovation…There’s you

  • Bachelor’s, Masters or PH.D degree - Business / Science / Information Technology or similar / equivalent.

  • 2 years’ experience in roles such as: forecasting, sales / marketing analysis, sales, marketing, finance, or other analytical function.

  • 2 years experience in the pharmaceutical or FMCG industry

  • Proficient understanding of current and future pharmaceutical market drivers, and the competitive environment.

  • Firm understanding of the pharmaceutical market, customer, patient and health care system in Canada

  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage competing priorities and deadlines.

  • Knowledge of IQVIA databases, products and services

  • High proficiency in the MS Office suite of tools.

  • Bilingual (English and French) written and verbal skills (Strongly preferred)

  • Advanced understanding of Pharma product strategies and organizational dynamics and how they impact on the forecast processes

  • Extensive experience with demonstrated knowledge and understanding within the following areas: Brand Strategy, New Product Introduction, Marketing Communication, Promotions, Media Planning and Market Research.
