Job Description:
This role involves analyzing the integrity of datasets from clinical studies and commercial product use; implementing signal processing and statistical algorithms to correct and augment these datasets; and creating dashboards and reporting tools to monitor evolving datasets over time.
This is an office-first role working out of our Kitchener HQ in the Medical Innovation Xchange. As such we require the candidate to be present in the office a minimum of 3 days per week and be available for a duration of 8-16 months.
Responsibilities:
- Utilize signal processing and statistical methodology to analyze healthcare datasets from sensor devices, patient vitals readings, and peri-operative reports for their data integrity.
- Develop and implement corrective algorithms that improve the quality of data fed into ML algorithms.
- Perform descriptive and inferential statistical analysis on datasets from clinical trials and commercial product use.
- Build dashboards and create reports to communicate results and to monitor datasets as they evolve.
- Document standard operating procedures to enable the wider team to implement developed workflows.
Qualifications:
- Familiarity with descriptive and inferential statistics - you should have taken an undergrad stats course at the minimum
- Experience programming in Python or R
- Ability to manipulate and analyze datasets using a framework such as Pandas, PySpark, or Polars
- Familiarity with Git
- Excellent written and verbal technical communication skills

- Experience researching and implementing signal processing algorithms
- Experience building dashboards with BI tools such as Databricks, PowerBI, and Tableau
