Job Description

Arcadis is currently looking for a Sr. Electrical Engineer to join our Raleigh, NC office, however the role is open to remote work, within the US landscape. The Sr. Electrical Engineer role will develop construction drawings for projects across our offices such as industrial, civic, commercial and more.

Working within our Design & Engineering teams, you'll create some of the world’s most iconic and ground-breaking structures and spaces that transform the world around us, from making journeys easier to opening public places that bring people together.

Whether new homes, shops, workplaces, schools and hospitals, manufacturing, research and development facilities, or data and distribution centers. Role accountabilities:

  • Provide design of electrical systems for architectural projects within defined budgets
  • Use Revit in the creation of construction documents
  • Direct Junior Engineers and Electrical Designers producing construction documents in Revit
  • Ensure accuracy, completeness and quality of technical information and project documentation and ensure compliance with any applicable QA/QC programs
  • Ensure that engineering deliverables (e.g., drawings, specifications, analysis, budget estimates) comply with applicable regulations, standards, corporate procedures and sound engineering practices.
  • Ensure that project deliverables are met in a timely manner to a high quality
  • Provide Peer Review of other electrical department projects
  • Travel is less than 5%

Qualifications

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Professional Engineering License
  • Experience with a focus on client satisfaction and quality.
  • 12 to 15 years of experience in the designing of electrical systems for industrial building, commercial buildings, factories, K-12, and Higher Education facilities
  • Ability to work in a team coordinating with other engineers, designers, and architects.
  • Ability to design power, lighting, fire alarm, data/com, and security systems
  • Experience with REVIT, ETAP, SKM POWERTOOLS or EASY POWER
  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering
  • 5 + years of hands on Revit experience
