POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the general direction of the Sr. Director, Practice Management Solutions and/or other management-level position within the region, the Nucleus Solutions Technical Consultant-II is responsible for installing and troubleshooting customer facing technology offerings – providing technical and consultative expertise, advice and support at customer sites and company locations. In addition, assists in evaluating requests for enhancements, communicating best practices for technology implementations, identifying opportunities for additional offerings, facilitating discussions with operations/customers to clarify business requirements/needs and managing customer expectations around technology offerings.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Analyzes and troubleshoots computer-based systems and connectivity issues within customer location; may be expected at times to repair and/or maintain computer-based systems with internal offerings.

  • Serves as subject matter expert for Nucleus Solutions’ technology offerings for the Division’s field sales force and customers.

  • Understands competitor’s offerings across the board and how to sell against these offerings.

  • Articulates technology and product positioning to both business and technical users within a practice.

  • Has an expanded knowledge of a practice flow.

  • Must be able to develop technology pieces that work within a practice and address any issues within the practice.

  • Develops deeper understanding of billing, pharmaceutical company expectations and contracting/rebates.

  • Installs software and peripherals, troubleshoots hardware, software and networking problems at customer sites.

  • Must be familiar with EMRs, PM systems, Clearinghouses, and reporting programs offered outside of Nucleus Inventory.

  • Adheres to standards and procedures for project reporting, problem resolutions and documentation.

  • Conducts high level discussions with physicians regarding all aspects of Oncology. Including new drugs and technology entering the market; and how it can benefit the practice.

  • Provides follow up calls to customers when appropriate and escalate problems as necessary.

  • Manages customer product implementation projects both with internal offerings and outside vendors.

  • Assists in getting all product/data documentation signed by practices.

  • Must be willing to travel up to 75% as needed and work from a home office environment.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Requires broad training in fields such as information technology, computer science, management information systems, business administration, accountancy or similar vocations generally obtained through completion of a four year bachelor’s degree program.

  • Requires a minimum of one (1) to two (2) years directly related and progressively responsible experience with a focus in one or more of the following business area: Finance, Sales & Marketing or Supply Chain Management; general technical experience required.

  • Prior knowledge & working experience with Nucleus Solutions product - highly desired

  • Ability to travel up to 75% domestically

  • Knowledge of operating systems related to personal computer systems and peripherals.

  • Strong computer skills in order to effectively diagnose mixed environment systems’ conflicts.

  • Prior working experience or knowledge of PowerBI and SQL - nice to have

  • Strong relationship building skills.

  • Superior MS Office Suite skills (Outlook, Excel, Teams, PPT)

  • Strong understanding of current technologies in area of expertise.

  • Demonstrate a basic understanding of business concepts and understand office flow; basic understanding and/or familiarity of the oncology market/practice.

  • Demonstrate effective professional communication (written and verbal), presentation skills and training skills.

  • Ability to work independently or within a team setting with minimal direction/supervision.

  • Ability to understand technical concepts and translate to operational processes.

  • Ability to understand operational processes and evaluate technical solutions.

  • Strong analytical skills; attention to detail.

  • Ability to prioritize work load and consistently meet deadlines; good time management skills.
