Job Details
The drug clerk position is a great way to get your feet wet inside of our robust retail pharmacy. We provide outpatient prescriptions to our patients inside of the hospital, medications to our employees, walk in patients, and much more. Our space is unique and differs from a traditional box store pharmacy by being strategically placed inside of the hospital to reach our patients faster with more affordable solutions. On the job training will be provided for this role.
Bilingual in Spanish preferred but not required
Hours:
Monday through Friday 9am to 5pm.
We are open Saturday from 10am to 2pm (working shift is 9am to 2pm)
We are currently closed on Sundays and all major holidays.
Location:
The Methodist Community Pharmacy is located in the main lobby of Methodist Dallas Medical Center.
Requirements:
Pharmacy technician license is NOT required (a plus if you have a tech in training license)
Retail knowledge preferred, but not required
Cash handling
Outgoing
Multitasking ability
People skills
Ability to learn new skills and pharmacy terminology
Computer learning skills
Organizational skills
Normally requires completion of a high school diploma, general education degree (GED) or equivalent combination of experience and education. One (1) years of retail pharmacy experience is preferred. Computer and cash register/point of sale skills is preferred.
