Job Details
Under general supervision of the Quality Control Supervisor or other supervisory/management-level position within the Distribution Center, responsible for maintaining the integrity of customer orders, double checking the accuracy for the receiving and stocking of products to ensure that what is delivered to the customer is as accurate as possible. Provides work direction to Quality Control Clerks in the absence of Supervisor. This position is categorized as compliance critical and, as such, requires and is assigned specific responsibility for ensuring continual and proper compliance with all division, corporate and regulatory requirements.
- Provide QC process instruction, guidance, and training to the rest of the QC team. Is the lead authority on all QC processes and procedures
- Primarily responsible for proper maintenance of the In-Process Order Log (to be developed in Q4-2021)
- Responsible for processing Purchase Order receipts, Inventory transactions, and Sales Order confirmations
- Uses IBS (XT) software for Purchase orders inquiries, checking and confirming Warehouse balances, and Inventory transactions and ensures the proper item invoice status (Open - 20, Partially Received - 30, Received and Closed - 60)
- Responsible for confirming the accuracy of supplier invoices or packing list and comparing them to our original Purchase Orders, confirming the accuracy and consistency of all documentation including item numbers, descriptions, and unit counts.
- Attention paid to differentiating and segregating invoices by the various warehouses
- Inspection of all incoming product items according to the requirements in the Inspection Plan, drawing, or catalog descriptions as specified by the appropriate Product Manager. Includes updating of Inspection Plan sheets with readings as required.
- Responsible for communication regarding defective material, packaging, labeling or other issues with suppliers toward resolution.
- Responsible for closing of any above supplier issues in the Complaint Database.
- Repackaging of items in appropriate counts and unit packaging, accurate and appropriate labeling both internal and exterior packaging.
- Communicates with PMs, suppliers/vendors, Purchasing, other team members as needed.
- Processes Vendor Returns including generating necessary Customs documentation, updating the Complaint Database, retention of records, and reviewing findings with Purchasing and PMs.
- Completes shipment of outbound product to the appropriate warehouses.
- Schedules the calibration for all measuring/inspection tools and the maintenance of the ILS labelers
- Monitors departmental supplies and orders/reorders stock as needed.
- Responsible for the packing of invoices for shipping.
- Sorts all of the incoming mail.
- Monitors computer for some kind of indication in the event of an error.
- Notifies Supervisor of error after making correction to the respective customer order.
- Complies with all safety requirements pertaining to job functions and general Distribution Center safety requirements.
- Maintains a clean work area to help ensure that merchandise remains clean and to help prevent work related injuries.
- Complies with all appropriate policies, procedures, safety rules and regulations.
- Must be able to work overtime when necessary and participate in physical inventory.
- Provides work direction to Quality Control Clerks in the absence of Supervisor.
- Performs related duties as assigned.
Requires completion of a high school diploma, general education degree (GED) or equivalent combination of experience and education. Normally requires two (2) to four (4) years of equivalent work experience.
- Ability to read and understand the English language for the purpose of reading product and address labels.
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Good mathematical skills
- Ability to develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with others.
- Strong organizational skills; detail oriented.
- Ability to use good judgment in order to carry out detailed instructions.
- Basic computer skills preferred

Salary Range*
*This Salary Range reflects a National Average for this job. The actual range may vary based on your locale. Ranges in Colorado/California/Washington/New York/Hawaii/Vermont/Minnesota/Massachusetts/Illinois State-specific locations may be up to 10% lower than the minimum salary range, and 12% higher than the maximum salary range.
