Job Details
the Inventory Planning Finance Manager is responsible for developing and implementing solutions to challenges in activities such as, inventory forecasting, inventory planning, inventory value optimization, and working capital initiatives across all Cencora business units. This position ensures that activities are continuously improving and contributes substantially to the results of the organization.
Responsibilities
Responsible for evaluating problems, understanding goals, and designs, develops and implements new processes to solve tactical needs related to inventory planning and optimization.
Develops inventory related solutions applying analytical tools, business processes, policies/procedures and systems in order to accomplish various business objectives.
Evaluates business processes, designs, develops, and implements improvements that reduce cost and improves effectiveness.
Reports Inventory results and provides insightful commentary on variances vs. estimate
Provide indirect coaching and development to analyst, in areas of Daily Inventory, Deal Analysis, Inventory Management Agreements, and reporting and other inventory related events.
Acts as an internal consultant to other functional groups in support of initiatives such as improving buy-side profits, inventory productivity, or team effectiveness.
Manages a variety of inventory processes such as LIFO, Deal Assessments, Price Appreciation Optimization, and other inventory-related opportunities.
Lead year-end holiday lift process, extended payables initiative and other analyses related to cash requirements to maximize working capital opportunities.
Participates in inventory related projects across the organization.
Develops decision support models in alignment with policy decisions in the inventory planning activities.
Develops and presents training material to enhance stakeholder knowledge of key finance and business concepts impacting the organization
Complies with all appropriate policies, procedures, safety rules and regulations.
Performs related duties as assigned.
Education and work Experience
Requires broad training in fields such as business administration, accountancy, computer sciences or similar vocations generally obtained through completion of a four-year bachelor's degree program or equivalent combination of experience and education. Normally requires a minimum of five (5) years directly related and progressively responsible experience.
Skills and Knowledge
Outstanding knowledge of product and supplier base, product interrelationships and industry trends affecting supplier's business
Strong knowledge of financial forecasting and analysis, including ability to summarize key message and results to Sr. Leadership
Exceptional project management skills, including the ability to effectively deploy resources and manage multiple projects of various diverse scope in a cross-functional environment
Strong interpersonal skills; ability to develop and maintain business relationships
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across an organization; ability to work with suppliers in designing and implementing solutions that yield incremental value-added solutions in the supply chain
Outstanding problem-solving skills and ability to apply the appropriate tools and level of analysis to a specific situations
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
Strong analytical and mathematical skills
Strong organizational skills; attention to detail
Ability to implement processes resulting in satisfactory audit practices
Strong computer skills in order to operate effectively with company systems and programs; knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook
