What you will be doing
Xcenda is looking for up to 4 Health Outcomes and Market Access Fellows to join the organization in our headquarters in Conshohocken, PA.
This 2-year, degree-granting Fellowship, sponsored by Xcenda, in conjunction with the University of Florida College of Pharmacy, provides a unique learning experience in a healthcare consulting environment. The Fellow will work on numerous projects in various disease areas, and interact with many of the top pharmaceutical companies, managed care organizations, and healthcare providers throughout the United States and abroad. During the Fellowship, professionals from Xcenda will mentor the Fellow in multiple consulting projects including, but not limited to, health outcomes research, economic modeling, market research, and brand/market access strategy. At the conclusion of the Fellowship, a driven Fellow will possess the skills and knowledge necessary to begin a successful career in a consulting firm, pharmaceutical company, managed care organization, or academia. In addition, the Health Outcomes and Market Access Fellow will earn a Master of Science in Pharmaceutical Outcomes & Policy through the University of Florida College of Pharmacy, with an emphasis in Applied Pharmacoeconomics, Managed Care Pharmacy Systems, or Pharmaceutical Value Assessment and Communications. If desired, the Fellow will also have the option to earn an MBA degree through Stetson University, in conjunction with the University of Florida MS degree.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Fellowship Goals and Objectives:
· To provide the Fellow with a formal education and opportunity to gain experience in a health care consulting environment
• To enhance the Fellow’s knowledge of literature evaluation, proper research design, biostatics, and health outcomes research methodologies
• To provide the Fellow with training and experience in protocol development, data collection, data management, data analysis, presentation of results, and manuscript development
• To provide the Fellow with an understanding of reimbursement principles needed to develop payer strategies, analyze impact of health policy changes, and conduct provider based reimbursement education
• Develop a keen understanding of the pharmaceutical manufacturer’s business and how they interact with consulting companies for a variety of services
• Understand and apply pharmacoeconomic / health outcomes principles
• Disseminate evidence through medical communications
• Apply health outcomes and pharmacoeconomic evidence to managed markets
• Understand and apply market research methods
During the Fellowship, the Fellow will also complete a minimum of 30 units of coursework at the University of Florida, College of Pharmacy.

What your background should look like
MINIMUM SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:
Although not required, applicable experience, such as health outcomes, managed markets, and/or pharmaceutical industry experience is preferred.

Selection Process
Candidates will be selected by our Fellowship Selection Committee from a national pool of individuals who possess a strong interest in health outcomes and/or market access. Although not required, applicable experience, such as an internship in a related field, is preferred. A successful candidate must have earned a PharmD from an Accreditation Counsel for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) accredited college of pharmacy before June 17, 2024. US citizenship or lawful permanent resident status is required. Letters of recommendation and unofficial pharmacy school transcripts are not required for requesting an interview with Xcenda, these documents will instead be collected at a later time from select candidates advancing to the final interview stage.
