What you will be doing

PRINCIPALES FONCTIONS ET RESPONSABILITÉS :

  • Gestion de linformation et pharmacovigilance : recevoir, scanner et documenter toutes les informations cliniques pertinentes en conformité avec les PON/protocoles et la législation applicable;
  • Répondre aux demandes de renseignements médicaux à l’aide de la FAQ approuvée;
  • Travailler directement avec des clients internes et externes pour demander des informations ou des clarifications supplémentaires, au besoin;
  • Examiner les renseignements sur les patients dans la base de données et sassurer que la documentation est exacte selon les besoins des clients;
  • Joindre les rapports post-perfusion aux des bases de données pour sassurer davoir la documentation appropriée pour laide aux patients, et les besoins des programmes dinnocuité de médicaments;
  • Saisir les données dans des bases de données propres aux programmes;
  • Trier et classer les télécopies et documents entrants;
  • Effectuer des contrôles de la qualité relativement aux rapports sur les effets indésirables en conformité avec les instructions de travail;
  • Effectuer des contrôles des données à la source ou y contribuer;
  • D’autres fonctions et tâches peuvent être confiées à l’adjoint(e) en pharmacovigilance I de temps à autre selon les besoins;
  • Son travail peut exiger qu’il sur appel ou de garde.

  • Connaissance de Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint et autres programmes Office

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Information Management and Pharmacovigilance: Receive, scan and document all pertinent clinical

information in compliance with SOP/protocol and applicable legislation

• Address medical enquires with the use of approved FAQs

• Work directly with internal and external clients to request additional information or clarification as necessary;

• Review patient information in database and ensure accurate documentation as per client needs;

• Attach Post Infusion Reports to databases to ensure proper documentation for patient assistance and drug

safety program needs;

• Data entry into program specific databases;

• Sorting and filing of incoming faxes and documents;

• Perform quality check on adverse event reports as directed by the work instructions

• Assist with and/or perform source data verification checks

• The Pharmacovigilance Associate I will also be assigned other duties and tasks as required from time to time

• May be required to be on standby/on call as part of this role

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum college level education required. A diploma or degree with a concentration in Life Sciences is a

strong asset;

• Experience in Medical Information, Clinical Research or Drug Safety or equivalent and related experience in

pharmacy or pharmaceutical fields is a strong asset;

• Knowledge of Pharmacovigilance industry including up to date knowledge of; pharmacovigilance guidelines

of Health Canada, US FDA, EMEA and ICH;

• Adaptability to change and to learn new skills as required;

• Experience in the medical and/or pharmaceutical field(s), medical terminology is an asset;

• Bilingual, English/French is an asset.

• Able to work any 8-hour shift between 8:00 AM-8 PM, if necessary
