What you will be doing

Are you a talented and driven college student seeking an internship with a global Fortune 11 healthcare company? At Cencora, we are looking for individuals with an inclusive mindset and a passion for making a difference in human and animal health.

Our 10-week paid internship program has been developed to provide students with hands-on experience to learn more about the Healthcare industry and the impact to human and animal health. This internship program will provide you with professional development, networking and volunteer opportunities. You will learn about the Guiding Principles of our culture but most importantly, have the opportunity to become a key contributor in the future talent pipeline of Cencora.

Start Date: June 3, 2024

End Date: August 9. 2024

Location: Remote or Hybrid (if local to corporate offices)

Under the direction of the Commercial Enablement Consultants, the Commercial Enablement Intern will rotate support across 6 US Pharmaceutical and Animal Health business segments, supporting projects and initiatives that that accelerate growth, improve customer engagement, and strengthen our the competitive edge of our commercial teams representing Cencora.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Actively participate in internship program training activities, developmental opportunities, and events.

  • Grow professional network: develop business acumen through rotation of 6 USPAH businesses segments; develop understanding of the Commercial Excellence organization and other shared service teams; develop rapport with interns, leaders and mentors.

  • Participate in the development of sales support tools, materials, and communications consistent with sales process, sales strategy and initiatives.

  • Partner with Commercial Learning to assess sales team training needs and to ensure that sellers have the knowledge, skills, and tools necessary to effectively engage with customers and drive business outcomes.

  • Demonstrate willingness to learn and take risks; step out of comfort zone and take on new assignments.

What your background should look like

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in undergraduate school with an upcoming completion of a bachelor’s degree. Must be able to work 40 hours per week from June 3 – August 9, 2023.

  • Studying Sales, Business, Marketing, or a related field with an interest in the pharmaceutical, healthcare, or animal health industries.

  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts in a clear and concise manner.

  • Strong interpersonal, teamwork, and leadership skills.

  • Good analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills to evaluate business problems and apply knowledge to identify appropriate solutions.

  • Good project management skills; Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

  • Must be eager to learn, self-motivated, flexible, accountable and can effectively handle multiple tasks at one time.

  • Knowledge of computers and can operative effectively within Microsoft’s Suite of products.

  • Ability to work in an unstructured, remote environment.

  • Ability to give and receive constructive feedback.

$27,300 - 41,470

*This Salary Range reflects a National Average for this job. The actual range may vary based on your locale. Ranges in Colorado/California/Washington/New York State-specific locations may be up to 10% lower than the minimum salary range, and 12% higher than the maximum salary range.
