What you will be doing

Sunday- 7:30AM - close
Monday-Thursday- 3PM- close
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversees pharmacy staff activities associated with the successful operations of the Central Fill facility; helps to ensure efficient working operation of automated warehouse systems and processes.
Assists in the deployment of staff including establishing and implementing a team structure, scheduling personnel and using other approaches which will enable workflow standards.
Responsible for evaluating and coaching pharmacy technicians and ancillary staff.
Responsible for ensuring appropriate production standards are developed and maintained to ensure daily fulfillment operations.
Assists in hiring and training practices that support staffing and performance standards and takes responsibility for identifying on-going training needs and integrating training and performance expectations.
In absence of Pharmacy Operations Manager, responsible for communications with Costco and ABC Management regarding Central Fill Orders.
Assist in Disaster Recovery drills for the facility.
Assist with quarterly inventories.
Ensures that pharmacy equipment is maintained and in proper working order.
Supports compliance with all appropriate policies, procedures, safety rules and DEA regulations; maintains and coordinates all areas of security.
Maintains consistent quality standards in accordance with all State, Federal and other regulatory policies and procedures
Monitor work standards and reports daily/weekly/monthly/annual staff and team goals.
Provides training and follow up coaching to ensure standards are met
Monitors the performance of staff members to ensure compliance with policies, practices and approved standard operating procedures;
Maintains vacation and work schedule; acts as a backup for Pharmacy Operations Manager.
Supervises associate relations functions including performance management, development and training of central fill associates.
Must be willing to work extended hours, as needed, in order to meet productivity goals. Position will “close” building when operation has concluded.
Establishes and maintains positive working relationships with Costco and Central Fill associates.
Performs related duties as assigned.
What your background should look like
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Requires broad training in fields such as business administration, accountancy, sales, marketing, computer sciences or similar vocations generally obtained through completion of a four year bachelor's degree program or equivalent combination of experience and education. Normally requires a minimum of two (2) years directly related and progressively responsible experience in distribution, manufacturing, pharmacy and/or central fill operations. Current California Pharmacy Technician license desired.
MINIMUM SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:
Working knowledge of automated warehouse operating system
Working knowledge of Central Fill pharmacy operations
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
Ability to be flexible with work hours (Days, Evenings, Weekends and holidays).
Good analytical and mathematical skills
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Strong organizational skills; attention to detail
Ability to meet deadlines
Good decision making skills
Excellent problem-solving skills; ability to resolve issues effectively and efficiently
Knowledge of computers to operative effectively with Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excel
