What you will be doing
The Managing Director – Pharmacy Operations sits within Accelerate Pharmacy Solutions and supports the Pharmacy Operations Management portfolio. In this role the Managing Director reports directly to the VP – Pharmacy Operations.
The Managing Director role is primarily remote or may be based from a client site, with preference for the Central or Eastern United States. Travel may be required, up to approximately 35%, and will vary depending upon business needs and project assignments. Travel may include current and prospective client sites, internal and external meetings, conferences, and other business-related assignments.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Provides leadership assistance for the Pharmacy Operations Management portfolio, with a focus on day-to-day pharmacy operations, compliance, and performance.
2. Has a focus towards expanding new services within the portfolio, working with key partners to ensure delivery requirements are achieved.
3. Builds trusting relationships with existing clients and key business partners. Cultivaes sales deals with prospective soultions customers.
4. Structures and leads client meetings to resolve issues, address risks and review deliverables. In collaboration with Directors of Pharmacy or Pharmacy Managers, collects and interprets data, packages the data, and presents quarterly business reviews to client senior leadership.
5. Demonstrates understanding of APS solution portfolios and can speak to other solutions and products offered by the business unit.
6. Assesses pharmacies for regulatory compliance, identifying gaps and providing recommendations for improvement where necessary.
7. Leads large consulting engagements and ensures quality, profitability, and timeliness
8. Assists with management of revenue and gross profit within the portfolio. Responsible for financial reporting for the business as well as to meet client requests and deliverables.
9. Contributes to publications and leads speaking engagements that build awareness of services to the broader market.
10. Works with marketing to develop collateral and other materials to promote their portfolio.
11. Documents and communicates associate performance feedback; mentors staff. Works with Talent Acquistion to source and place candidates in key roles within the portfolio. Directs onboarding activities for new pharmacy leaders within the portfolio.
12. Identifies and sells add-on work within existing client and help manage key aspects of the overall consulting practice.
13. Performs related duties as assigned.
What your background should look like
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor of Science or Administration degree plus advanced degree (PharmD. MBA, MHA, MS, Executive degree), with more than one advanced degree a plus; minimum of 10 +years hospital/health system experience, with at least 5 years in a director or related role, with 3+ years project manager experience, or minimum or 5 plus years in a consulting management and/or major multi-project lead consulting role, preferably within the healthcare field; demonstrated experience as a subject matter expert in one or more relevant consulting/application fields (–2+ years); demonstrated experience as a subject matter expert in one or more relevant consulting/application fields; demonstrated experience with Lean and / or Six Sigma a plus; demonstrated experience in developing, promoting and selling consulting solutions and products.
MINIMUM SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:
1. Demonstrated experience and broad knowledge of problem solving, performance improvement, process and systems analysis and design, and clinical analysis methods and approaches
2. If clinical or pharmacy consulting role, will require specific primary and advanced health degree (s), such as Pharmacy, Nursing, etc. and
3. Specific clinical and/or science related certification a plus

Ranges in Colorado/California/Washington/New York/Hawaii/Vermont/Minnesota State-specific locations may be up to 10% lower than the minimum salary range, and 12% higher than the maximum salary range.
