What you will be doing
Individuals in the Infrastructure Engineering role are responsible for executing the strategy set by architecture. They are responsible for designing, building, testing, implementing, maintaining and optimizing the infrastructure and operations (Infrastructure), in accordance with security policies and guidelines. Infrastructure Engineers typically spans: server platforms, middleware infrastructure, networking, client technology and storage systems. Additional functions and processes include service and product management, performance and capacity management, patching and version management, and Level 3 operations support. They diagnose system failures and take corrective action in order to ensure continuity of operations. Members in this role need good communication skills and must be able to work collaboratively with system users and other technical colleagues. Individuals coordinate and work on multiple cross-functional initiatives/work groups and projects as a team member, sometimes as a team lead or advisor. People in this role will develop/build complex systems that may have system-wide impact and integrates across the organization, along with complex infrastructure solutions.
Position is located in Carrollton, TX working SHIFT-HOUR schedule to support global IT operations
Provides migration support for all windows servers migrating to the ID Domain,
Provides input and participates in troubleshooting, implementing changes necessary including knowing if potential areas that may be required outside the windows direct support areas (firewall, permissions, automation server builds),
Participates in activities/meetings to evaluate new technology relevant to the project plan (project plan will be developed by team prior to start)
Documents server operating processes and maintenance procedures, as well as, any other customized methods of design related to the responsibilities of the Microsoft Active Directory
Provides technical assistance during the server migration,
Perform other duties as assigned, will have opportunity to work with a team that does other infrastructure technologies to cross train as they work
Provide knowledge transfer to identified client personnel in the form of written documentation
What your background should look like
Bachelor’s degree or technical institute degree/certificate in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
Five (5) - seven (7) years of experience in windows server 2008, 2008R2, 2012, 2016, 2019, and 2022
Extensive experience in active directory, Group Policy Management, LDAP and utilizing SCCM a must.
Experience with VMWare, VSphere and Powershell is a plus.
This person will need to be comfortable moving the Windows servers from its current Domain to a Domain that will contain all
servers under another agencies umbrella and create documentation.Strong professional communication skills.
Strong influence, collaboration and negotiation experience.
Ability to collaborate with supporting resources across business and/or functional lines.
Have excellent oral and written skills/possess strong meeting and work session facilitation skills.
Have the ability to work independently and as part of a team, the ability to manage time and resources to meet assigned
deadlines.Have strong understanding of prioritization stemming from the elicitation of system and/or user requirements.
Have excellent organizational skills, proven analytical, planning, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
Must be knowledgeable in the English language/speak clearly and understandably use the English language.
Must meet productivity standards, complete work in timely manner and strive to increase productivity
Identifies requirements gaps or issues.
Determines systems specifications, input/output processes and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility.
Escalates problems as needed.
Experience with general IT concepts beyond their primary discipline
Good analytical and problem solving skills
Good interpersonal skills; effective team player
Good analytical skills with attention to detail
Ability to work on-site with Shift-Schedule:
Shift Hours run 6am-6pm (Daylight Savings Time) / 7am-7pm (Standard Time)
Week 1: Work: Tues - Wed / Off: Thur - Fri / Work: Saturday - Sun - Mon
Week 2: Off: Tues - Wed / Work: Thur - Fri / Off: Saturday - Sun - Mon
