What you will be doing

Under general direction of the Senior Director, Pricing, the Manager will lead a team of analysts to determine and execute the pricing terms found in each of our customer wholesale distribution agreements. Manages an effective control environment and ensures Cencora effectively manages all aspects of on-invoice pricing and discounts to our customers. Highly matrixed role that features regular engagement with various teams in Finance, Commercial Operations, Commercial Sales, Strategy teams, Legal, and IT.

  • Establishes strong communication and working interface with commercial sales leadership and account managers in the field to drive compliance outcomes, reduce margin erosion, and is also mindful of the customer experience.

  • Manages key initiatives and drives execution of process efficiencies.

  • Provides solution support to business stakeholders and direct reports. Assists in generating reports on key performance indicators as needed.

  • Focuses on measuring customer performance metrics key to maintaining profitability by overseeing the 90-day customer review process. These quarterly reviews assess key performance indicators and measures defined in customer wholesaler distribution agreements.

  • Leads team of direct reports to complete customer reviews; documents completion, summarizes outcomes, communicates outcomes with stakeholder teams, and ensures proper price execution.

  • Engages with stakeholders to promptly resolve queries and implement required pricing in new business agreements, renewals, and updates customer pricing upon completion of the 90-day customer review cycle. Ensures pricing is aligned to terms in the wholesale distribution agreement.

  • Engages with account management teams to ensure customer account rosters are properly accounted for and updated in Pricing systems.

  • Develops, discovers and researches other profit initiatives to improve profitability for the region.

  • Reports customer and portfolio outcomes to stakeholders

  • Generates ad hoc analysis reports as needed. Performs related duties as assigned.

What your background should look like

Requires broad training in fields such as business administration, accountancy, sales, marketing, computer sciences or similar vocations generally obtained through completion of a four year Bachelor's Degree program, technical vocational training; normally requires a minimum of six (6) years progressively responsible related experience, including at least two (2) years experience at a manager level.

  • Knowledge of various financial management areas such as financial statement analysis, plan development, productivity and profitability analysis

  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills

  • Strong leadership skills

  • Strong presentation skills

  • Strong organizational skills; attention to detail

  • Ability to follow and interpret profit and loss statements

  • Ability to implement processes resulting in satisfactory audit practices

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
