We have an immediate opening for a Research Intern (8-12 month term). This position is available in Calgary, AB starting September 2024 .
How we plan on keeping you busy:
· Contribute to the development and optimization of our analytical methods.
· Perform routine testing on drug substance and drug product material.
· Consolidate, interpret, and present data.
· Support the preparation of procedure documents and technical reports.
· Maintain laboratory equipment.
· Work as part of a team to meet deliverables on time.
· Collaborate with internal and external partners, as required.
What will help you get here:
Essential:
• Experience working in a biology, biochemistry, or chemistry laboratory environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
• Demonstration of soft skills including collaboration, influence, and facilitation.
· Eligible for BioTalent Canada WIL funding.
Preferred:
• Experience with some of the typical research methodologies used for mRNA vaccine development including high-performance liquid chromatography, gas chromatography, capillary electrophoresis, SDS-PAGE, dot-blot, Western blotting, in vitro translation, ELISA, qPCR, cell-based assays, etc.
• Understanding of GLP/GMP.
