We have an immediate opening for a Project Manager (up to 18 months contract). This position is available in Calgary, AB.
How we plan on keeping you busy:
· Manage the transfer of information and processes between all departments, including clinical, regulatory, research, process development, analytical development and manufacturing stakeholders |
· Serve as the key interface between our collaborators and Providence key stakeholders and subject matter experts (SMEs) |
· Develop and manage all aspects of project and program engagement from planning, internal/external relationships, communications, resources, budget, change, and risk |
· Provide status reporting regarding project milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks, and issues, communicating across leadership |
· Monitor project scope, schedule, and costs to ensure all remain on track with the contract and with financial performance targets |
· Aid in the development and maintenance of key project performance indicators for relationships with collaborators, ensuring that the KPIs are within scope of project contract |
· Utilize a strategic level of technical and operational program knowledge to engage operational leadership and provide proactive clarity to all contributors during all key project inflection points to drive the best potential outcome. |
· Lead regular communications among internal teams, using critical thinking to resolve challenges, as well as escalate issues and request additional decision-making when required |
· Contribute to stage-gating activities and assessments to guide the progression of programs in Providence’s pipeline |
· Manage the manufacturing activities, equipment status and supply inventory at CMOs. |
· Develop and manage key raw materials supply inventory, and finished product inventory, in conjunction with Quality and Operations teams |
· Aid in the review of Agreements with third parties |
· Serve as escalation point for project issues to internal and external stakeholders, as appropriate. |
· Motivate team members to meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities and project milestones. |
· Other duties as assigned |
What will help you get here:
- BSc, MSc in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering or a related discipline, as relevant to the pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry
- 5+ years’ experience in pharmaceutical/biotechnology project management
- Extensive understanding of project and program management principles, methods, and techniques.
- Experience managing research and production schedules for pharmaceuticals/biologics.
- Knowledge of clinical development/drug development processes
- Knowledge of nucleic acid-based therapeutics, lipid delivery systems and drug product production for injection preferred.
