We are seeking a highly motivated Scientific and Business Analyst to join our team to lead scientific research and business development efforts with a focus on new therapeutics for neurological diseases. The ideal candidate will be a recent graduate with a strong background in scientific research, as well as a solid understanding of neuropharmacology, and enthusiasm for the applications of emerging biotechnology breakthroughs to health and wellbeing.

Responsibilities

·      Develop the scientific rationale for pipeline elements, including generation of high-quality, detailed analyses and reports to support therapeutic indication selection and pipeline progression.

·      Analyse market trends and competitor activities to inform business and R&D strategy and identify potential risks and opportunities.

·      Analyse and interpret data derived from in house and external research studies to generate high-quality reports.

·      Identify new business opportunities in the pharmaceutical and nutraceutical industry related to neurological diseases.

·      Develop and maintain relationships with key industry stakeholders, including pharmaceutical companies, academic institutions, and government agencies.

·      Stay up to date with the latest developments and trends in the pharmaceutical industry, including regulatory changes and new technologies.

·      Work across cross-functional teams to support the development of new drug candidates and ensure alignment with business goals and priorities.

·      Prepare and deliver detailed scientific presentations, reports and funding proposals.

Qualifications

·      Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in neuroscience, medical sciences, pharmacology, or a related field.

·      Strong scientific background preferably related to neuropharmacology and/or neurological diseases, including skills in report writing and presentations.

·      Industry experience in drug development and/or business is preferred.

·      Understanding of the drug discovery and development process, including preclinical and clinical trials, regulatory requirements, and intellectual property considerations.

·      Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.

·      Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make data-driven decisions.

·      Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high degree of autonomy and accountability.

·      The individual must have full working rights within Canada (Citizen, Permanent Resident or open work permit) and be under 30 years of age due to program sponsorship requirements.
