Who We Are

  • We are a leading research university, advancing an inclusive and sustainable future. Our purpose—the essence of SFU—is to create and connect knowledge, learning and community for deeper understanding and meaningful impact.
  • We are committed to fostering excellence, innovation, belonging and community in all that we do.

Join an exciting and entrepreneurial work environment, where you will play a pivotal role in strengthening the democratic process, decreasing polarization and creating positive social change. In this role you will lead a dynamic and talented team of coordinators and analysts as you collaboratively design and deliver engagement projects for a diverse array of clients.

About the Role

As the Associate Director responsible for the Social Enterprise at SFU's Morris J. Wosk Centre for Dialogue, you will design and deliver public participation projects funded by grants and government clients while maximizing social impact and ensuring ongoing financial sustainability. This position will combine the hard work and pragmatism of a consulting practice with the satisfaction of facilitating meaningful participation by those residents and groups most impacted by policy issues. Parking your own political beliefs will be essential as you hold space for others to express diverse viewpoints.

The ideal candidate will be relationship driven with strong team leadership and project management skills. Someone who embraces the fact that 'no day is the same' and thrives in a dynamic, client-focused work environment.

Please note: While the formal job description maintained by SFU HR for this position uses the title "Manager", the operational title for this position used for all public-facing communications is "Associate Director" to maintain consistency with comparable titles and positions at the Centre for Dialogue.
