About the Role

The essential duties of this role encompass a range of administrative and financial tasks. These include reviewing expenses, scheduling meetings for directors, and providing administrative support to IT staff. The position is also responsible for procurement activities such as managing purchase requests and performing reconciliations. Additionally, the role involves maintaining timesheet records, managing journal vouchers, and coordinating office facilities maintenance. Other responsibilities include overseeing cellphone orders and billing, handling shipping and receiving operations, ordering and maintaining office supplies, and managing key requisitions. The position also ensures efficient document management and supports reception duties for visitors.

Qualifications

High school graduation and general courses or training of moderate duration (one semester equivalent) in word processing, bookkeeping and database applications. 3 years of minimum experience. An equivalent combination of formal education, certificate/program of study and experience is acceptable.

  • Working knowledge of the World Wide Web including use of Internet browser software (Internet Explorer, Chrome, Safari, and Firefox).
  • Good knowledge of bookkeeping practices.
  • Basic knowledge of on-line computer operating systems (e.g. Windows, Mac).
  • 55 words/minute keyboarding skills with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications (verbal and written) skills.
