Orphalan, a privately held company having been on the market in Europe for 5+ years selling a treatment for Wilson Disease. With the approval of Cuvrior for adult Wilson Disease patients in 2022 Orphalan established it’s US operations (Orphalan Inc) in 2022 and in 2023 Orphalan launched the first new treatment in the Wilson Disease market since 1997. To support the continued growth of Cuvrior in the US, we are looking to bring on a strategic and innovative Associate Director Marketing Operations to join the Orphalan team.

Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Marketing Operations Manager to optimize marketing processes, improve operational efficiency, and support the execution of impactful marketing campaigns. This role will collaborate closely with the commercial team, VP, and other key stakeholders to ensure marketing strategies are aligned with business goals while maintaining consistency and excellence in execution. The ideal candidate has a passion for data-driven decision-making, expertise in marketing technologies and processes, and a strong understanding of the pharmaceutical industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plays a key role in the development of the brand launch strategy and tactical play through a detailed understanding of both customer and market insights and continued assessment of market dynamic changes leading to a revised or adjustment in strategy and or tactical plans
  • Leads in the development, implementation, and execution of launch tactical plans. Tactical programs will include but not limited to HCP Peer-to-Peer programs, congress activities, patient education and engagement programs and digital promotional activities
  • Play a lead role in the project management of the overall launch planning process by working closely with the broader cross functional launch team and ensuring key launch and post launch milestones and deliverables are achieved
  • This person will co-lead the annual strategic brand planning process and also expected to contribute to various non-brand specific strategic projects and support initiatives.
  • Work closely with cross functional teams to help set up and execute on various marketing operations and business operation processes including the Medical Legal Review Process, CRM implementation, etc.
  • Work closely with both US Market Access and Patient Services to identify potential promotional programs for payers and patients and provide commercial support in the development and execution of those programs.
  • Work closely with the US Key Account Management team (Sales) to ensure effective pull-through of marketing messaging, execution of promotional/educational programs and to gain customer and market insights
  • Effectively manage relationships and project scopes with our promotional advertising agencies and consultant partners

Qualifications:

  • B.S./B.A. Degree or higher with 5-7+ years of marketing or related experience in pharmaceutical/biotech commercial teams. Rare disease experience is highly preferred
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment without specified direction
  • Knowledge of the Legal and Regulatory landscape of pharmaceutical marketing including in-depth knowledge of the Medical/Legal/Regulatory Review process
  • Ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple projects/deliverables concurrently
  • Ability to interact effectively with internal and external personnel; strong team leader (including leading cross-functional teams).
  • Must be team oriented with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential
  • Prior experience in Project Management, Marketing Operations, Market Research and Data Analytics is preferred
  • Have successfully developed and supported the launch of several products at the commercial stage
  • Ability to travel as necessary
  • Preference for this role is to be in the greater Boston area with a hybrid working environment (2-3 days a week on-site or as needed)
