Effective immediately, the Division of Cardiology is seeking a full-time permanent faculty position for a staff paediatric cardiologist with a sub-specialty interest in Electrophysiology in the Labatt Family Heart Centre - Cardiology Division at the Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids), 555 University Ave., Toronto, ON which is an academic health science centre dedicated to the care of children and affiliated with the University of Toronto. The successful candidate will be eligible for an academic appointment at the University of Toronto.

The Labatt Family Heart Centre brings together significant interdisciplinary and inter-professional activities within Paediatric Cardiology, Cardiovascular (CV) Surgery, Cardiac Critical Care, Cardiovascular Research and Adult Congenital Heart Disease Programs, thus allowing the Heart Centre to address the needs of patients and families from fetal life through to adulthood. The Heart Centre at The Hospital for Sick Children promotes these activities through seamless integration of research activities, academic performance, and exemplary clinical care.

We are excited to be adding an additional Electrophysiologist to our team! The primary role of the Electrophysiologist will be to focus on providing excellence in clinical care, education, and research in the field of paediatric electrophysiology. The successful applicant will be expected to treat children with arrhythmias, perform invasive electrophysiology procedures, teach our fellows, and undertake innovative and impactful research. We anticipate some limited requirement for additional service provision in general in-patient and out-patient cardiology.

Applicants must have completed subspecialty training in paediatric electrophysiology and will report to the Division Head, Cardiology, Labatt Family Heart Centre. Exceptional qualified candidates may be eligible for a leadership role in the Electrophysiology Section.

Rank and salary ($285,000-360,000) per annum will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The successful candidate will be eligible for a benefits package which includes medical, dental, life insurance, long term disability insurance, group insurance, pension plan, vision care, and a relocation package.

All candidates must be able to function proficiently in English, hold an MD, MBBS or equivalent thereto and be certified or eligible for certification by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or have comparable qualifications. Candidates must hold or be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario.
