Course Number and Title: ECE1779H - Introduction to Cloud Computing
Course Description: This course provides an introduction into the technologies behind cloud computing. A combination of lectures and hands-on programming assignments expose the student to the leading cloud computing paradigms and programming interfaces (e.g., EC2, Azure, App Engine). In addition, lectures provide an overview of the underlying technological concepts that make cloud computing possible (e.g., virtualization, scalability, fault tolerance, security).

Salary: $15,301.50
Qualifications: Knowledge in the subject matter. Preferred consideration will be given to applicants who have taught the course before (or course equivalent), or have teaching experience in the subject matter.
Description of duties: Deliver lectures in accordance with the schedule specified in the course description. Perform evaluation of students' work and assign final grades. Supervise course TAs and address any issues of academic integrity that arise related to this course.

Preference in hiring is given to qualified individuals advanced to the rank of Sessional Lecturer II or Sessional Lecturer III in accordance with Article 14:12 of the CUPE 3902 Unit 3 collective agreement.
