Your responsibilities will include:
- Promoting alumni engagement opportunities to current students, academic and faculty members, and UC’s alumni network.
- Gathering and editing alumni content for brochures, newsletters, websites and/or handbook
- Conceptualizing, organizing and executing event activities that attract and engage UC alumni
- Responding to enquiries within the defined scope of the role and redirecting as appropriate
- Keeping well-informed on alumni relations and engagement best practices and trends.
- Coordinating tasks for projects and other strategic initiatives with stakeholders
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or acceptable combination of equivalent education and experience.
- Minimum three (3) years of relevant experience in advancement, preferably in an educational or non-profit setting, with a proven track record of success in promoting alumni involvement and working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience and success in generating and realizing concepts to engage alumni.
- Experience creating communications materials, including writing and producing communications materials.
- Experience planning and organizing events.
- Experience in overseeing multiple projects and meet deadlines, with thorough attention to detail and consistent follow through.
- Experience in tracking purchases against set budget and a proven track record of building programs.
- Advanced and proven (oral and written) communication skills with the ability to draft, proofread and edit a range of written material.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and professional presence necessary to interact with alumni, senior volunteers and stakeholders.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Well-developed skills in MS Office, database software and web content management systems.
- Strong organizational skills.
