Description:

Under the supervision of the Manager, Enrolment Planning and Reporting, the incumbent is responsible for providing a broad range of financial analyses used in the development of the University’s overall budget, focusing primarily on tuition and ancillary fee revenue. The incumbent will also provide support in managing and further developing enrolment models.

The incumbent is responsible for the development of the tuition fee schedules from the preliminary phase through to the detailed preparation and audit of the final tuition budgets. The incumbent develops monthly financial forecasts and monitors tuition performance throughout the year, performs revenue and analyses as required and reconciles several important general university revenue accounts.

The incumbent is also responsible for managing the annual setting of category 5 and 6 ancillary fees. As part of this function, the incumbent will undertake periodic analyses of ancillary fee information and review/enhance processes to ensure high quality data and compliance with relevant policies.

Qualifications:


EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Five (5) to seven (7) years’ related experience in a complex higher education or similar environment.
  • Solid knowledge of relevant and complex university and Ministry policies related to tuition, ancillary fees preferred.
  • Experience collaborating and interacting with senior administrators and providing advice and expertise.

SKILLS:

  • Excellent writing and communication skills.
  • Expert knowledge of MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with modeling and analysis in excel.
  • Knowledge of statistical programming language considered an asset.
  • Detail-oriented, strong analytical and conceptual thinking.
  • Ability to work in ambiguous situations, multiple interruptions, conflicting deadlines.
  • Ability to work in conflict and pressure situations.
  • Ability to be creative in the development of ideas and in the combining of data sources to facilitate analyses.
  • Knowledge of student system: ROSI.
  • Knowledge of FIS financial system.
  • Ability to use data visualization tools.
