As Project Manager, Strategic Projects and Accreditation, you are responsible for supporting the strategic projects of the MD Program Senior Leadership and ensuring ongoing access to relevant data, analyses and reports. You will also manage the MD Program evaluation and accreditation processes for the MD Program. You will provide management and support to senior leadership, steering committees and various sub-committees with responsibility for overseeing, coordinating, organizing and executing the finalization of various reports for the accreditation process and strategic projects within the MD Program.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing strategic plans to determine the unit's programs and activities, including developing charter, scope, resources and schedules for projects
  • Leading the development and making recommendations for policy, procedures and best practices for the unit
  • Planning and implementing accreditation reviews and audits; Cultivating ongoing relationships with accreditation bodies and agencies to ensure a collaborative and collegial relationship is maintained with the University
  • Developing or modifying project schedules to expedite and/or compress the critical path to meet timelines.
  • Implementing a communications plan to keep stakeholders informed.
  • Producing complex reports and statistical information
  • Monitoring accounts for a project and/or program
  • Directing the activities of a single ongoing staff-appointed employee

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or acceptable combination of equivalent experience.
  • Minimum six to seven years of related, progressively responsible administrative experience in a university, medical school, teaching hospital or comparable environment
  • Demonstrated experience in a project management capacity, including experience with all aspects of process development, implementation through to completion and evaluation of project initiatives
  • Experience designing and implementing accreditation and evaluation activities within the medical education context
  • Experience analyzing and interpreting data findings to produce statistical information and comprehensive reports, including proposals and briefings
  • Experience gathering information for project proposals, including in preparation for budget planning
  • Experience designing and/or developing program evaluation tools (i.e. surveys, interviews)
  • Experience supervising staff
  • In-depth knowledge of project management principles, methodologies, techniques, tools and best practices
  • Advanced proficiency with MS Office Suite, learning management systems and student information systems, with the flexibility, adaptability and desire to seek out, learn and embracenew and emerging technology.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and deliver on time-sensitive initiatives
  • Demonstrated initiative in seeing projects through to completion
  • Proven leadership, collaboration and motivational skills, including the ability to influence others towards a common goal
  • High degree of diplomacy and tact; professional demeanor
  • Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat and online survey tools
  • Ability to adapt to shifting priorities, demands and timelines using analytical and problem-solving capabilities
