The Master of Accounting of and Finance (MAccFIn) is the only program of its kind in North America. The program prepares students to pursue professional credentials (CPA, CFA, ACCA) and offers advanced standing toward two of these. The program incorporates mandatory co-op employment with the study of both accounting and finance to prepare students to navigate the intersections of accounting and finance throughout their career. The Combined Degree Program (CDP) permits students in the BBA Accounting Specialization in the Department of Management at UTSC the opportunity to gain early acceptance into the MAccFin program in year two of their undergraduate studies. The MAccFin also welcomes exceptional students from undergraduate accounting degree programs across Canada. Students typically pursue MAccFin immediately upon completion of their undergraduate degree.

Your opportunity:
Working under direction of the Assistant Director, Graduate Programs, the incumbent is responsible for driving awareness of 1) the Combined BBA/MAccFinDegree Program amongst incoming and current UTSC BBA students, and 2) the MAccFin program amongst students in accounting and finance undergraduate programs from other Canadian universities. The objective is to build relationships with top candidate groups, demonstrate program features, advantages and unique benefits to these students, and advise them through the stages of the application process. This is an opportunity to contribute to the growth and development of unique programs, serve the accounting and finance professions, and support the development of exceptional students.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing plans that support recruitment strategies
- Researching potential target markets to inform recruitment plans.
- Building and strengthening relationships with stakeholders and partners of strategic importance.
- Fostering and maintaining a network of external contacts to support recruitment strategies.
- Advising students on program and/or course requirements by probing and providing a range of options and possible consequences.
- Conducting detailed data analysis to inform recruitment strategies and plans.
- Maintaining an in-depth knowledge of program advantages compared to competitor programs. Producing promotional and outreach materials.
- Analyzing service delivery and/or internal processes and recommending improvements.
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or acceptable combination of equivalent experience.
- Minimum four years of demonstrated experience in student/campus and/or HR recruitment
- Demonstrated knowledge of educational systems and international and domestic credential assessment
- Exceptional presentation and public speaking experience is required
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office with particular proficiency in database and spreadsheet applications, internet and email applications
- Excellent interpersonal, communication (verbal and written), judgement, organizational and analytical skills
- Proven ability to interact effectively with students and the public
- Flexibility and ability to adapt to changing policies and procedures
- Must have strong customer service orientation and effective interpersonal skills
- Advanced computer skills including knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrated analytical, project coordination and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a highly professional business environment exercising tact and diplomacy.
- Excellent telephone manner; initiative; good judgement, attention to detail and accuracy a must.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines while multitasking and balancing conflicting priorities.
- Must have a positive demeanor with a commitment to service excellence and be a strong team player.

Assets (Nonessential):
- Experience in student advising is desirable
- Completion of or pursuing HR designation is desirable
- Experience in the accounting or financial services sectors is desirable
- Familiarity with professional accounting and/or finance credentialing is preferable
