Your opportunity:

The Building Automation System (BAS) Analyst will support BAS operations by utilizing the EMRS and other software applications, such as fault detection and analytical tools, to ensure the efficient functioning of various building systems, including HVAC and lighting control systems. The Analyst will perform initial triage and troubleshooting of reported and observed alarms and anomalies on the EMRS, using its tools and programming capabilities to make necessary adjustments. They will ensure the availability of BAS components like meters and controllers, conduct data management, trend analysis, and reporting at theSt. George Campus. Working within a team, the Analyst will execute minor GUI enhancements to the BAS to improve operational efficiencies, collect data, develop reports, and provide departmental usage reporting. The Analyst will be responsible for the day-to-day monitoring of building systems and will assist different departmental teams to ensure the functionality of building systems at the St. George Campus.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Configuring system features and applications
  • Generating ERMS surveillance and reports
  • Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues
  • Analyzing processes and recommending changes for more efficient coordination of operations
  • Conducting detailed data analysis to inform management decision making

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or acceptable combination of equivalent experience.
  • Building Environmental Systems (BES) Certificate preferred
  • CET or CTech designation preferred
  • Minimum three years experience working with Building Automation system or industrial controls
  • Minimum 1-2 years experience setting up graphical user interfaces (preferably EBI, Metasys, Desigo, Web Ctrl, EBO)
  • In-depth knowledge of communication protocols such as BACnet, Modbus and Lon
  • Minimum 1-2 years experience supporting the commissioning building automation systems
  • Experience with fault detections andbuilding systems analytics as an asset
  • Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office
  • Proven ability to create and analyze reports
  • Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Advanced communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships and work collaboratively
  • Must be flexible and adaptable with a high level of initiative and results orientation
  • Strong organizational skills, accuracy, and attention to detail, with a proactive solution focus
