Description:

Under the general direction of the Manager, HRIS Development and Integration, the incumbent is responsible for providing technical expertise in the development, customization, and implementation of SAP solutions related to SAP HRIS and HR related systems. The role requires strong business analysis skills to support various system enhancement and process optimization initiatives, aiming to streamline processes and effectiveness of the HRIS and HR related systems. The incumbent works independently and liaises with HRIS functional user groups and University Information Technology teams to define technical requirements as well as analyze and evaluate the impact of recommended changes to business processes and HR systems while ensuring solutions meet user and institutional requirements. The incumbent also engages with clients on system re-design initiatives and technology initiatives to enhance HR business processes, ensuring effective communication with central and divisional HR offices and business process owners to identify and implement opportunities for system and process improvements.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.

EXPERIENCE:

Several years related SAP ABAP development and integration experience required, demonstrated project management experience required and experience with business process analysis an asset.

SKILLS:

Knowledge of SAP HCM applications, SAP SuccessFactors, KRONOS, and UKG Pro workforce management. Working knowledge of HRIS and other administrative management systems. Proficient in SAP ABAP programming language, including object-oriented ABAP (ABAP OO), CDS, and ODATA. Experience in developing SAP reports, interfaces, ALV grids, and custom enhancements using User Exits, BADIs, and BAPIs. Understanding of SAP HANA database and development for HANA-optimized applications. Strong experience in SAP integration technologies such as SAP PI/PO, SAP CPI, SAP BTP, SAP ALE/IDOC, and other relevant SAP middleware tools. Proficiency in integration patterns like SOAP, REST, FTP/SFTP, and messaging queues (JMS, MQ). Proficient use of Microsoft Office applications (including advanced Excel skills), database (SQL) and project management software.

OTHER:

Service oriented, highly effective verbal and written communication skills (including demonstrated report writing experience) with strong analytical and problem-solving ability. Excellent interpersonal skills. Demonstrated project management experience. Ability to deal with multiple demands and to allocate time and priorities efficiently and effectively.
