Your opportunity:

The Office of the Faculty Registrar works closely with departments and colleges regarding all matters relating to Arts & Science students. We are dedicated to making the A&S student experience as smooth and seamless as possible. We coordinate and administer a variety of services and programming to support registration and enrolment, student records, transfer credit, petitions, final examinations, and graduation.

Reporting to the Associate Faculty Registrar & Director, Student Recruitment and Admissions, the incumbent is responsible for providing strategic direction, leadership, training, and coordination of the admissions team in Office of the Faculty Registrar (OFR). In addition to ensuring the integrity and accuracy of the admission file assessment process, the incumbent informs the review and assessment of scholarship decisions and oversees thereview of admission appeals to the Faculty. The incumbent works closely with the Associate Director, Student Recruitment and the Associate Director, Relationship Management and Events to inform and execute strategic recruitment and admissions plans.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing day-to-day service delivery requirements and operational needs
  • Analyzing service delivery and/or internal processes and recommending improvements
  • Determining logistical details required for the execution of admissions processes
  • Providing consultation and advice on the application of University policies and procedures
  • Analyzing and making recommendations on award funding allocation
  • Preparing complex statistical information for inclusion in recruitment plans
  • Directing the activities of a group of staff-appointed employees all performing a similar function

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum 5 years of progressively more responsible related experience in student recruitment and admissions
  • Experience with undergraduate student admissions from diverse backgrounds and education curricula
  • Proven experience analyzing and redesigning workflow/business process to enhance efficiencies and align with organizational goals
  • Familiarity with issues and trends in undergraduate recruitment and admissions, as well as principles of strategic enrolment management
  • Experience developing and implementing strategic plans related to student recruitment and admissions
  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and motivate staff
  • Demonstrated experience in developing partnerships across units
  • Supervisory experience, including setting goals and objectives, coordination, planning and supervision of staff is required
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Office (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills, highly developed planning skills, and strong organizational ability
  • Knowledge and experience with database and CRM systems, data analysis, and report generation
  • Able to work effectively with a wide variety of people at different levels of the University and with external stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently, to set priorities and work schedules to meet deadlines; demonstrated decision-making skills in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Ability to collaborate and share expertise within a team environment; enthusiasm and capacity for continuous learning and development
  • Advanced skills preparing and presenting information to a diverse audience
  • A understanding of challenges and demands of international and domestic student recruitment
